Deciduous Forest
The deciduous forest biome is our home biome. It consists most of tall trees and short underbrush. It is mainly found on the Northeastern Seaboard of the United States. This is the place that you would imagine when you think of deer hunting.

The average temperature is 50 degrees Fahrenheit, or 38 degrees Celsius. The average amount of rainfall annually 30-60 inches or 152-254 centimeters.
Animal and Plant Life
A lot of the animals that you think of when someone says "mountains" are found in this biome. Deer, bears, foxes, bald eagles, chipmunks, dormice, and weasels are some examples. Most of the plants that you find in this biome are trees, but ferns are also plentiful in this biome. Some plants you would see in this biome are the American beech, white birch, white oak, and lady fern.
